Job summary

Hayden Industrial is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician in Claremore, OK. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, performing preventative maintenance, handling work orders, and fabricating parts as needed.

The position requires 4+ years in maintenance, knowledge of 480-volt electrical systems, crane operation, welding, plumbing, and reading blueprints.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years maintenance experience, preferably in heavy manufacturing.
  • Experience with electrical systems, including 480-volt connections.
  • Knowledge of crane operation and welding equipment.
  • Proficient in plumbing and mechanical equipment repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret machine blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong experience with preventive maintenance procedures and work order systems.
  • Forklift training and certification provided by the company.
  • CNC machine experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections.
  • Complete work orders and data input in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of equipment, tools, and work areas.
  • Operate and utilize machine tools for fabrication as necessary.
  • Assist in ordering and managing parts and supplies inventory.
  • Maintain accurate records, including schematics, drawings, and photographs.
  • Repair and replace pipes, fittings, and systems for various equipment, including pumps and compressors.
  • Provide facility maintenance services, such as carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in safety and environmental practices.
  • Always use personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with tools, machinery, and hazardous materials.
  • Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations and address any issues.
  • Communicate any issues that may impact production schedules or quality to management promptly.

Brief Description

Position: Maintenance Technician

Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt

Location: Claremore, Oklahoma

Department: Maintenance

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Hayden Industrial, a leading manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of equipment and machinery, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Duties include diagnosing and maintaining equipment, performing preventative maintenance, managing work orders, fabricating parts, and assisting with inventory. The role also involves facility maintenance tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, and painting, while ensuring a safe, clean work environment and supporting safety and operational improvements.

Safety-sensitive Position

Hayden Industrial has determined this position involves safety-sensitive job duties and will be considered a safety-sensitive position for purpose of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act ("The Unity Bill.") effective August 29th, 2019.

Key Responsibilities

Education And Experience
  • 4+ years of maintenance experience, preferably within a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with electrical systems, including 480-volt connections.
  • Knowledge of crane operation and welding equipment.
  • Proficient in plumbing and mechanical equipment repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret machine blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong experience with preventive maintenance procedures and work order systems.
  • Forklift training and certification (provided by the company).
  • CNC machine experience is highly preferred.
Supervisor Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

Non-temperature controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles that are usually associated with metal fabrication shops. All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, (paint masks, respirator, when required) and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes within the manufacturing facility.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing duties of this job, the employee in this position is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. This position requires walking, the ability to reach, ascend/descend ladders, bend, kneel, and stoop. The employee occasionally will lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
