Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This hands-on role will oversee property grounds, public areas, and guest rooms, performing preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems to ensure guest comfort and safety.

Ideal candidates have hotel maintenance experience, strong technical knowledge, and excellent time management. This onsite position offers stable hours and the chance to grow with a rapidly expanding hospitality

Qualifications

• Two–three years in a hotel maintenance role preferred
• One year of college or trade school in mechanical/electrical/technical disciplines preferred
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry

Responsibilities

• Oversees property grounds, public areas and guest rooms
• Performs preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns
• Paints and maintains electrical accessories, HVAC systems
• Checks fixtures, lighting and signs and maintains spare parts inventory
• Responds to maintenance orders promptly and completes work orders
• Conducts daily rounds and reports problems
• Performs other duties as assigned

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees the property grounds, public areas and hotel guest rooms
• Conducts preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations
• Paints, replaces electrical accessories, maintains HVAC
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs
• Responds to maintenance orders in a timely manner
• Fulfills work orders in a timely manner
• Completed daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems
• Perform various other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of three (2) years in a hotel maintenance position preferred
• Preferred but not necessary, one (1) year of college or trade school equivalent in a mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic math skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
• Excellent time management skills
