Futaba Indiana of America Corporation is seeking a Team Leader for the maintenance group in Indiana. The role leads daily activities, coordinates repairs, and drives preventive maintenance to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently.

You will prioritize tasks, mentor technicians, and collaborate with operations leadership to meet production goals and reliability targets in a manufacturing environment.

• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and perform adjustments.
• Ensure preventive maintenance and plant facilities maintenance to support productivity and equipment reliability.

Description

This position is responsible for leading and coordinating the daily activities of the maintenance team while performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. The Team Leader ensures maintenance activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established preventive, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes. This role provides day-to-day guidance and support to team members, helps prioritize maintenance activities, and works collaboratively with operations and leadership to support productivity, equipment reliability, safety, and the achievement of overall business goals and objectives.

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
• Ensure that assigned team member jobs are complete.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

• Associate’s Degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance a plus; CIMS Degree preferred.
