Responsibilities

You will be based in our Kinston, NC location. This role will support first shift, support the production line and will follow production needs. Please be advised that we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position at this time.

Summary

The Maintenance Team Lead supports daily maintenance operations within the assigned production area. This role focuses on coordinating technicians, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring uptime, while assisting the Maintenance Supervisor in executing maintenance plans and continuous improvement activities.

Your main tasks

• Provide daily guidance and support to Maintenance Technicians, serving as the primary resource for questions and assisting with onboarding, training, and coaching reinforcement.
• Support maintenance operations by troubleshooting equipment issues, assisting with repairs, completing preventive maintenance through the CMMS, and escalating major concerns when necessary.
• Monitor equipment performance and uptime, communicate work status updates, and participate in root cause analysis to resolve operational issues.
• Contribute to Lean and continuous improvement efforts by supporting EMS tool implementation, participating in improvement initiatives, and maintaining 5S workplace standards.
• Promote a strong safety culture by encouraging safe work practices, ensuring PPE compliance, reporting incidents and near misses, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in industrial maintenance or related field (preferred).
• 3–5 years maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• 3–5 years maintenance experience with EAM (Enterprise Asset Management)
• Prior lead experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)

Physical Demands

• Should be able to team lift any package greater than 35 lbs. but less than 71 lbs.
• Should be able to handle repetitive twisting, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, and bending
• Must be able to spend long periods of time on your feet
