Job summary

Continental Tire the Americas, LLC in Mount Vernon, IL seeks a Maintenance Team Lead to supervise maintenance staff, manage scheduled and emergency work, and control labor and material costs. You will coordinate repairs, ensure safety, and drive continuous improvement in plant maintenance processes. AAS or equivalent and 3 years of supervisory/maintenance experience required; U.S. work authorization mandatory.

Qualifications

• AAS degree or equivalent plus 3 years of Industrial Supervisor, Maintenance or Setup experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assign work to craftsman.
• Prioritize machine repairs and assign to technicians.
• Ensure proper communication between Production and Maintenance departments.
• Monitor spare parts usage and cost; drive continuous improvement.
• Improve mean time to repair (MTTR).
• Ensure shift-to-shift communications and complete maintenance reports.
• Conduct safety procedures to maintain a safe environment.
• Provide training assistance and feedback for performance evaluations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Plant Engineer.
• Ensure all ESH procedures and legal requirements are followed.

Job Description

The Maintenance Team Lead will:

Responsible for all Maintenance functions within the plant. Supervise maintenance workers in electrical and mechanicalwork skills. Responsible for scheduled and emergency work assignments, direct supervision while work is beingperformed and follow up to ensure quality and completeness of work performed. Responsible for monitoring labor andmaterial costs.

• Coordinate and assign work to craftsman.

• Monitor and improve the plants mean time to repair (MTTR).
• Ensure proper shift to shift communications and complete maintenance reports.
• Conduct safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Provide training assistance and feedback to time performance evaluations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Plant Engineer.
• Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

AAS Degree in a Technical Field or High School Diploma/GED or Technical Associate equivalent plus either 3 years of Industrial Supervisor, Maintenance or Setup experience.

Preferred Requirements:

• 5 years of Related Experience
• Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/ guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection and steel toe shoes.
• New Hires will likely be placed on a shift that includesevenings and weekends.
• The job is within a non-climate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. Majority of work completed in a high heat environment.
• The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and operating machinery, with comprehensive training provided.

The starting annual salary for this role is $88,009 a year.
