Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group in Atlanta is seeking an energetic Maintenance Supervisor for the Starling Atlanta Midtown. You will lead on-site maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with brand standards and managing preventive maintenance across guest rooms and public spaces.

You will supervise maintenance staff, coordinate with other departments, and act as Manager on Duty when required. Schulte offers a robust benefits package and growth opportunities within Schulte Companies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school education; post high school education preferred.
• At least 1 year in a hotel maintenance position; supervisory experience preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maintenance functions follow company and brand standards for compliance and safety.
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and safety systems.
• Perform maintenance in guest rooms and public spaces; maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Supervise and participate in preventive and general maintenance tasks; schedule work.
• Assist other departments with guest requests and resolve concerns.
• Act as Manager on Duty when required; ensure guest satisfaction and safety.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To ensure that all maintenance functions, including preventative maintenance are following company and brand standards for compliance and safety
• Ensures fulfillment of preventative maintenance programs of brand standards including equipment, heating and air conditioning units, ice machines, fire extinguishers/smoke alarms, plumbing
• Completes preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public space
• Ensures swimming pool and spa maintenance duties are performed according to brand standards and health department regulations
• Proactively follow specific departmental procedures in performing repair, maintenance, alteration, and installation work in a safe and neat manner.
• Delegate, supervise, and participate in all preventive and general maintenance programs by maintaining a room's maintenance strategy and scheduling preventive maintenance
• Assists other departments in fulfilling guest requests and resolving guest concerns
• Educated hotel personnel on emergency procedures and safety precautions
• Acts as Manager on Duty when required
• Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of High School education, post high school education preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year in a hotel maintenance position, supervisory role preferred
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry
