Job summary

associacareers is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support daily property upkeep in Austin, Texas. You will assist with service requests, repairs, and general maintenance tasks to meet standards and tenant satisfaction.

Responsibilities include completing work orders promptly, coordinating with the property manager, and ensuring safety and quality across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and grounds work while maintaining a professional appearance and customer-focused service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least five years of experience in the property management industry or related field.
• General knowledge of maintenance repair including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
• Previous renovation/rehab or minor construction experience.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily maintenance tasks such as service requests and make-ready.
• Respond to maintenance issues in a timely manner.
• Perform repairs in electrical, plumbing, appliances, flooring, carpentry, HVAC, and grounds.
• Conduct general carpentry duties including wallboard repair, countertop/cabinet replacement, finish carpentry, window/glass, door/lock, and tile repairs.
• Ensure work order systems are accurate and completed to standards and tenant satisfaction.
• Complete maintenance requests quickly, informing Property Manager if parts are needed.
• Communicate promptly with the property manager about all issues at the property.
