Job summary

Abbott is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor – Night Shift for the Casa Grande, Arizona location within the Nutrition manufacturing plant. You will lead the GMP focus team, manage backlogs, and oversee contract work with a focus on high-care areas to ensure compliant maintenance and continuous improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years in regulated maintenance, with strong leadership and project-planning skills.

• 2–4 years of maintenance responsibility experience in a regulated industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the GMP focus team to close out high-priority demand maintenance and facility work orders in high-care areas.
• Prepare and lead daily/weekly/monthly GMP work order backlog reporting and communicate to site stakeholders.
• Manage contracts and foster relationships with service providers.
• Improve demand maintenance response time to resolve leaks and defects in high-care areas.
• Lead and close out Quality Assessments for high-priority maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with maintenance planning/scheduling to execute GMP maintenance and facilities activities (Preventive, Predictive, Demand).
• Work with Ops, Engineering and Quality to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement in Maintenance, Operations, Quality, and Safety.
• Close gaps in maintenance/facilities GMP processes to be more strategic.
• Follow escalation reporting with peers/manager for decision-making.
• Communicate daily with the High-Performance Work Team and maintain 100% training/compliance.
• Participate in team/department projects and track KPIs for leadership review.

What You’ll Work On

• Manage and lead the GMP focus team to close out high-priority demand maintenance and facility work orders throughout the site, focusing explicitly on high-care areas.

• Prepare and lead the daily, weekly, and monthly GMP Work Order Backlog reporting and communicate to site stakeholders and equipment area owners.

• Responsible for managing contract teams, negotiating contracts, and fostering the relationship between a company and other business service providers.

• Improve demand maintenance work order response time to resolve leaks and facility defects in high-care areas.

• Lead and close out Quality Assessments for all high-priority demand maintenance activities assigned to the GMP focus team.

• Work with the maintenance planning/scheduling team in developing, planning, and executing all plant-related Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) maintenance/facilities activities, including Preventative, Predictive, and Demand maintenance.

• Work with the Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to investigate, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions for equipment-related failures.

• Drive continuous improvement in performance within Maintenance, Operations, Quality, and Safety.

• Able to understand how to close gaps identified in Maintenance/Facilities GMP work order processes to close gaps and drive GMP focus team to become less tactical and more strategic

• Follow escalation reporting process with inputs from peers/manager for decision-making as required.

• Communicates to line the High-Performance Work Team daily while maintaining a constant floor presence. Maintains a safe work environment with 100% training and compliance with applicable procedures.

• Active participation in team and department projects, including responsibility for the execution of assigned actions.

• Track, trend & report on established KPIs; communicate to the functional manager and site leadership team on accomplishments, opportunities for improvement, and planned actions.

You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

The base pay for this position is

$61,300.00 – $122,700.00
