Job summary

Mark-Taylor, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Facilities and Service (Maintenance Supervisor) in Glendale, AZ. You will lead Service Technicians, Facilities Technicians, and Housekeepers to keep communities well-maintained and safe, delivering five-star service to residents.

You will inspect, diagnose, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, and other systems, while managing on-site inventory, repairs, and renovations. Apply your certifications and leadership to drive quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as Maintenance Manager, Supervisor, or similar in multifamily.
• Advanced knowledge: Plumbing, Electrical, Pool, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape, Appliances.
• One or more industry certifications: EPA, HVAC, CPO, OSHA or similar.
• Proven success in leading, training and developing a team.
• Service orientation and customer focus.
• Basic computer skills.
• Three+ years as Maintenance Technician or related role.
• Basic written and spoken English understanding.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the leader for the team of Service Technicians, Facilities Technicians, and Housekeepers.
• Oversee hands-on maintenance and enhance community value.
• Perform inspections, diagnose problems, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exteriors.
• Manage daily inventory and Make-Ready/Turn Board to support leasing.
• Schedule contractors and vendors as needed.
• Inspect property for safety hazards and correct them.
• Share rotating on-call duties and be available after hours in uniform.
• Complete Weekly Service Report promptly.
• Adhere to Mark-Taylor safety protocols and training.
• Train and mentor technicians.
• Maintain records on preventive maintenance, work orders, inventories, logs, and turnover.
• Maintain excellent resident and team relations.
• Oversee capital projects including bidding and execution.

Compensation

• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $31.00-33.00/hour.
• All service team members who participate in the on-call rotation receive an additional $3.00/hour incentive for all hours worked while on-call.
• Additional hourly pay for EPA, CPO, and OSHA certifications.

Requirements

• 2+ year(s) working as a Maintenance Manager, Supervisor, or similar title in the multi-family industry.
• Advanced knowledge in the following areas: Plumbing, Electrical, Pool Maintenance, HVAC, Carpentry, Landscape Maintenance, Appliances, and OSHA-related standards.
• One or more industry specific professional certifications (EPA, HVAC, CPO, OSHA or similar).
• Proven success in leading, training, and developing a team.
• Service orientation.
• Basic computer skills.
• Three or more years' experience working as a Maintenance Technician, Apartment Turn Technician, Service Technician, Make-Ready Technician, or Work Order Technician.
• A basic understanding of written and verbal English.

In This Role You Will

• Serve as the leader for the team of Service Technicians, Facilities Technicians, and Housekeepers.
• Oversee and execute the hands-on maintenance duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the community.
• Perform consistent inspections, diagnosing problems, and making necessary repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, flooring, carpentry, dry walling, appliances, and exterior structures.
• Manage the daily inventory of apartment homes in order to support leasing efforts, including managing the Make-Ready, Turn Board.
• Schedule contractors and vendors as needed.
• Inspect the property for safety hazards that may pose a liability and correct the hazards.
• Share rotating on-call duty with service team members and readily available to go the property after hours if needed and in uniform/badge.
• Complete Weekly Service Report in a timely manner.
• Adhere to Mark-Taylor safety protocols, programs, policies and procedures.
• Participate in training classes.
• Train and mentor Service Technician and Facilities Technicians.
• Keep accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, work orders, inspections, inventories, pool chemical logs, make-ready and turn units.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive rapport with all residents and team members.
• Capital project oversight, bidding, and execution.
