Job summary

Sienna Nursing is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead our facility’s maintenance operations, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. You will hire, train, and supervise the maintenance team while coordinating schedules to meet census-driven budgets.

Responsibilities include overseeing preventive maintenance, HVAC and boiler systems, water systems, and generators; coordinating with external contractors; and managing supplies within budget.

Qualifications

• Healthcare or long-term care facility maintenance experience
• HVAC, boiler, water, and emergency systems understanding
• Ability to implement a preventive maintenance program
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage supply ordering and budgeting

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance operations: hire, train, and supervise maintenance team
• Promote safety & compliance: conduct and document fire system inspections and coordinate monthly fire drills
• Oversee preventive maintenance: develop and implement a preventive maintenance program
• Maintain equipment: inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, boilers, water systems, laundry equipment, and generators
• Manage supplies & budget: order maintenance supplies and equipment within budget guidelines
• Supervise contractors: oversee and coordinate work by external contractors
• Maintain standards: ensure the facility and its equipment are safe, operational, and compliant with regulations
• Train staff: provide job-specific training and promote adherence to safety procedures
• Coordinate schedules: plan department staffing according to census needs and labor budgets
