You will hire, train, and supervise the maintenance team, coordinate with contractors, and manage schedules and budgets for a healthcare facility.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, HVAC and facility systems knowledge, and the ability to implement preventive maintenance programs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Healthcare facility maintenance experience preferred.
• Understanding of HVAC, boilers, water systems, and emergency systems.
• Experience implementing preventive maintenance programs.
• Demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage supply ordering and departmental budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance operations: hire, train, and supervise maintenance team members.
• Promote safety and compliance: conduct and document fire system inspections and coordinate monthly drills.
• Oversee preventive maintenance: develop and implement a preventive maintenance program.
• Maintain equipment: inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, boilers, water systems, laundry equipment, and generators.
• Manage supplies and budget: order maintenance supplies and equipment within budget guidelines.
• Supervise contractors: oversee work by external contractors.
• Maintain standards: ensure facility and equipment are safe, operational, and compliant with regulations.
• Train staff: provide job-specific training and promote safety procedures.
• Coordinate schedules: plan staffing according to census needs and labor budgets.
