Job summary

Bryten is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead our Green Valley community’s maintenance operations and team. You will oversee safety, service, and make-ready processes, coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance, and ensure resident satisfaction in a hands-on, on-site role.

The ideal candidate has HVAC certification, 3+ years in building maintenance with supervision, and strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills. On-site work and on-call duties are required.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification and/or trade certifications in electrical, plumbing, or related fields.
• Three or more years of building, facilities, or property maintenance experience, with supervisory duties.
• Ability to read diagrams, technical manuals, work orders, and safety documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
• Customer-service mindset with professional interaction with residents, vendors, and staff.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, train, and support maintenance team to ensure safety, accountability, and service.
• Coordinate and prioritize service requests, preventive maintenance, and repairs for timely completion.
• Oversee apartment make-ready operations and vacancy readiness to standard.
• Perform and supervise repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and general systems.
• Inspect apartments, common areas, building systems, and grounds to uphold quality standards.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and management for operations and improvements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inventory, work orders, and required documentation.
• Support appearance of property by overseeing grounds and exterior maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies, participate in on-call rotation, and ensure OSHA compliance.

Key responsibilities include:• Leading, scheduling, training, and supporting maintenance team members while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and customer service• Coordinating and prioritizing service requests, preventive maintenance programs, and repair activities to ensure timely completion and resident satisfaction• Overseeing apartment make-ready operations and ensuring vacant homes are prepared for occupancy according to company standards• Performing and supervising maintenance repairs involving HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and general building systems• Conducting inspections of apartment homes, common areas, building systems, and grounds to identify maintenance needs and ensure quality standards are maintained• Coordinating with vendors, contractors, and community management to support property operations and capital improvement projects• Maintaining accurate maintenance records, inventory, work orders, and required documentation• Supporting community appearance through oversight of grounds, exterior areas, and property maintenance activities• Responding to emergency maintenance situations and participating in the on-call rotation as required• Ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, company policies, and all applicable safety regulations• Promoting a positive, safe, and welcoming community environment• Performing other duties as assignedWho You AreWe're looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with leadership skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have:• High school diploma, GED, or vocational training required• Three or more years of building, facilities, apartment, or property maintenance experience required, including previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and general maintenance practices• HVAC certification and/or trade certifications in electrical, plumbing, or related fields required• Ability to read diagrams, technical manuals, work orders, and safety documentation• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously• Strong leadership and team development skills• Customer service mindset with the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, contractors, and team members• Basic computer proficiency, including experience with work order systems, property management software, Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel preferred• Ability to work on-call, respond to emergencies, and work flexible schedules as needed• Valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation requiredWhy You'll Love Working With UsWe believe in taking care of our team just as much as our residents.
