Job summary

Perdue Foods seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a skilled maintenance team, plan all maintenance activities, and keep production running at peak efficiency while upholding safe work practices.

You will own preventive maintenance programs, troubleshoot equipment, and coordinate rebuilds or replacements to minimize downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Hands-on leadership and talent development are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or related discipline; in lieu of a degree, equivalent work experience will be considered.
• 0–3 years of related experience.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Troubleshooting ability and technical knowledge of production, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all plant equipment is in top operating condition and available for production as needed.
• Organize and plan regular maintenance work on all equipment and systems within the plant.
• Review preventive procedures and evaluate and maximize maintenance processes by collaborating with operations departments to identify problems and requirements.
• Supervise maintenance associates and ensure compliance with company safety regulations, minimizing personal injury risks, environmental impact, and asset damage.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal codes and regulations.
• Select, orient, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline staff.
• Evaluate the functionality and reliability of facility systems and equipment. Improve system performance by studying results and identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions.
