Job description

Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that enhance vehicle efficiency and performance for both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Serving three primary markets—passenger vehicles, commercial trucks, and off-highway equipment—Dana supports original equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket through nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

1. Maintain a work schedule that includes personal contact and communication with all shifts.
2. Troubleshoot, program, and document PLC control programs; proficiency required with Modicon, Allen-Bradley, or Siemens PLCs.
3. Interpret electrical schematics and troubleshoot wiring circuits.
4. Troubleshoot and repair hard-wired relay logic machine control panels, including field repairs such as replacing components and wiring.
5. Work with 24, 115, 277, and 480 Volt 3-phase electrical systems, including electrical distribution systems with bus and switchgear.
6. Install conduit (flex and hard) and pull wires; correctly bend and install conduit.
7. Remove, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic components such as valves, cylinders, pumps, hoists, and motors.
8. Use wire and stick welders and cutting torches.
9. Operate forklifts up to 30-ton capacity.
10. Rig, move, and install equipment, lifting objects up to 75 lbs.
11. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
12. Determine proper pipe sizes, thread pipes, and install hydraulic tubing correctly.
13. Troubleshoot machine malfunctions across electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred.
• 5+ years of maintenance experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to work overtime on short notice, including weekends.
• Experience with CMMS is preferred.
