Summary

The Accomac, VA team is recruiting for a 1st Shift- First Processing Maintenance Supervisor. The supervisor oversees staff, plans, and implements maintenance activities to maximize production while ensuring safety and adherence to procedures. Maintains systems and equipment through preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements. Relocation packages are available for qualifying candidates.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure all plant and equipment are in optimal condition and available for production.
  • Plan and organize regular maintenance on all equipment and systems.
  • Review and improve preventive procedures, collaborating with operations to identify issues.
  • Supervise maintenance staff to ensure safety compliance, minimizing injury risks and asset damage.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment following standards and legal regulations.
  • Select, train, assign, and evaluate maintenance staff.
  • Assess the functionality and reliability of facility systems and equipment.
  • Enhance system performance through analysis and implementation of improvements.
Minimum Education

BS degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent technical education preferred.

Experience Requirements
  • 0-3 years related experience.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Technical troubleshooting skills in production, mechanical, and electrical equipment.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
  • Access to files, supplies, and equipment in a plant environment with wet, moist floors, variable temperatures (28°F to 100°F), humidity, noise (50-110 dB), and chemical exposure.
  • Use of protective gear as required.
