Job summary

Ferrero is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Franklin Park, IL, on 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 5:30am-2:00pm). You will lead a team of Maintenance Technicians, coordinate activities, and drive preventive maintenance to maximize line reliability.

You will report to the Maintenance Manager, with overtime eligibility and a base salary in the posted range. Ferrero offers health insurance, retirement plans, PTO, and other benefits.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading a maintenance team in a production/manufacturing setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of machines, tools, their repair and maintenance, and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Familiarity with CMMS for work orders and inventory management.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Plan and prioritize maintenance tasks to minimize disruption to production schedules.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.
  • Inspect machinery and infrastructure to identify issues and address them proactively.
  • Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance and minimize interruptions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safety culture.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inventory.
  • Evaluate external contractors for specialized maintenance projects when required.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure spare parts availability and upkeep of supplies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the maintenance department.

You will be responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, providing support for interventions, and collaborating on new projects.Your scope as Maintenance Supervisor will also include defining, organizing, and managing periodic revision programs, and interventions. Excellence in leadership, team work, problem solving, decision making and experience in union environments will be strong assets in this role.
