SP+, a Metropolis Company, is seeking a maintenance supervisor in Windsor Locks, CT. You will direct routine cleaning, maintenance and repair work, supervise day/evening crews, and ensure timely completion of projects with a focus on safety and quality.

Requirements include a High School diploma (some college a plus), basic Microsoft Office skills, knowledge of building systems, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; some college a plus.
• Basic computer skills; MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Knowledge of building systems; electrical, mechanical, and cleaning maintenance.
• Minimum six months in service/maintenance is preferred; light construction exp appreciated.

Responsabilités

• Assist in directing and managing routine cleaning, maintenance & repair tasks.
• Supervise day/evening maintenance crew; ensure completion of daily/weekly/monthly tasks.
• Assist with scheduling, timecard monitoring and management duties.
• Supervise ongoing and future projects; monitor progress and deadlines.
• Maintain safety procedures and report hazards or incidents to GM, Maintenance Services.
• Assist with cleanup of debris, spills and environmental concerns.
• Conduct regular facility and equipment inspections for good condition.
• Ensure compliance with environmental standards and governance.
• Lead programs to improve client and customer satisfaction.
• Perform other necessary functions as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist in directing and managing routine cleaning, maintenance & repair, including, power washing, slurring, striping, sweeping, commercial painting.
• Assist in the management of the day-to-day activities of assigned projects including supervising day/evening maintenance crew ensuring completion of all daily, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance and cleaning projects.
• Assist with management duties including: scheduling, monitoring and checking of timecards.
• Supervise the completion of all ongoing and future projects.
• Monitor and implement effective safety procedures.
• Report any known accidents, safety hazards or unusual occurrences observed or suspected violations of Company policy to the General Manager, Maintenance Services
• Assist with cleanup of debris, water, oil spills and etc.
• Conduct regular facility and equipment inspections to ensure all are in good maintenance conditions.
• Ensure compliance with environmental standards and corporate governance.
• Lead programs to improve client and customer satisfaction.
• Perform other necessary functions as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Education Required: High School Graduate. Some college a plus.
• Intermediate computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of maintenance.
• Ability to perform general repair, electrical, mechanical, and cleaning maintenance.
• Desire a minimum of six months worth of experience in the service industry (maintenance industry preferred), but not required
  • Special consideration given to those candidates who have a diverse maintenance background;
  • Experience with driving light construction equipment preferred.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be proactive with strong problem solving skills and proven customer service skills and must be willing to lead by example.
• Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule.
• License Requirement: Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.

Physical Demands:

• May be required to stand for 8-hour shifts while managing employees.
• Must be willing to work in different indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Must be able to at least 50 lbs.

Salary Range: $24.00 per hour
