Job description

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
  • Provide leadership and management of maintenance crew, help manage and schedule preventive maintenance as defined on all production equipment
  • Help prepare and execute daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for planned work
  • Lead scheduled meetings and review progress with maintenance and operation teams
  • Strive to improve Preventive Maintenance processes and equipment uptime
  • Identify resource needs to make the most effective and efficient use of available resources
  • Document and maintain equipment files and manuals, establish contacts, and help manage contractors
  • Observe all safety rules and coach employees on safety
  • Notify department leaders and value stream managers when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, or materials
  • Demonstrate nVent's cultural beliefs, leading by example and driving those beliefs into the maintenance team
  • Drive reliability programs including predictive and preventive maintenance optimization, ensuring availability of spare parts, tools, and equipment. Push the existing time-based PMs toward condition-based maintenance.
YOU HAVE:
  • 2-year associate degree or equivalent in a technical field preferred, or 5-7 years of related manufacturing experience
  • Ideally 5+ years of experience and knowledge in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and paint system maintenance
  • Over 5 years of experience working in a Metal Mechanics Manufacturing environment focused on Metal Cutting, Bending, MIG & TIG Welding, Powder paint lines, and Fabrication
  • Validated experience with Punch Press Stamping machines and Press Brake Machines for bending light mild steel and stainless steel
  • Proven experience with high-efficiency automated robotic welding and polishing processes
  • Experience working with legacy and new technology equipment from 1 to 20 years old
  • Skills in Mechanical, Electrical, Building, and HVAC print reading, PLC and CNC controls, Lean and 5S manufacturing
