Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting and other building systems at our property. You will direct activities, ensure preventive maintenance, and support day-to-day hotel operations.

• Proven experience as maintenance supervisor.
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems.
• Ability to lead the team in an effective, positive and efficient manner.
• Understands OSHA guidelines and other regulations.
• Skills in use of fire equipment.
• Able to assist in conducting fire drills and Life Safety Programs.
• Exhibits problem solving and team building skills.
• Ability to understand, read, write and speak basic English. Communicate with Team Members and Guests.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to work effectively as a part of a team.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize maintenance tasks.
• Manage and maintain a preventive maintenance system to keep all day to day operations running smoothly.
• Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Ability to proactively discern operational concerns and address to eliminate/minimize downtime.
• Knowledge of problem solving techniques and methods.
• Knowledge of common causes of equipment malfunction.
• Ability to estimate cost and time of completing a job.
• Oversee, motivate and train team members.
• Welcome all guests. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professionally presented.

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting and other building systems. Direct and organize all activities around building systems, equipment operations and day to day operations of the property to ensure the company goals are met.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

• Must be able to work in environment that can be high stress.
• May be required to work outdoors as required

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

• Professional and Energetic
• High school education or equivalent is preferred.
• Three years' minimum experience in a lead maintenance type position
• Previous hotel experience highly desired
