Job summary

Legacy Village of Taylorsville is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to keep buildings and grounds safe, functional, and appealing. You will handle work orders, preventive maintenance, and a variety of repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building systems.

You’ll develop skills through on-site tasks, routine inspections, and teamwork with residents, guests, and staff. This full-time role requires reliability and weekend/holiday availability.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-1 years of maintenance, facilities, construction, property, or related experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance principles, tools, equipment, and repair practices.
  • Interest in developing knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances, and general building systems.

Responsibilities

  • Complete routine work orders and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform preventive, corrective, and general repair maintenance throughout the property.
  • Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs within training and experience.
  • Conduct routine checks of equipment, facilities, grounds, and common areas to identify maintenance needs.
  • Follow preventive maintenance schedules and document completed work.
  • Maintain buildings, grounds, landscaping, parking areas, and walkways in a clean, safe, attractive condition.
  • Assist with seasonal maintenance needs, including snow and ice removal where applicable.
  • Monitor and maintain pool chemistry, temperature, and equipment.

What You'll Do
  • Complete routine work orders and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.

  • Conduct routine checks of equipment, facilities, grounds, and common areas to identify maintenance needs.
  • Follow established preventive maintenance schedules and document completed work.
  • Help maintain buildings, grounds, landscaping, parking areas, and walkways in a clean, safe, and attractive condition.
  • Assist with seasonal maintenance needs, including snow and ice removal where applicable.
  • Monitor and maintain pool chemistry, temperature, and equipment according to applicable standards where applicable.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance areas, and supplies in a clean and organized condition.
  • Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory levels of maintenance parts and supplies.
  • Follow established safety, emergency response, and loss-prevention procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, guests, clients, vendors, associates, and property leadership when responding to maintenance needs.
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-1 years of maintenance, facilities, construction, property, or related experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance principles, tools, equipment, and repair practices.
  • Interest in developing knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances, and general building systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new maintenance skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions, maintenance procedures, safety requirements, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to identify basic maintenance concerns and determine when additional assistance or specialized service may be needed.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn work-order or property-management systems.
  • Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, stoop, reach, and perform other physical activities associated with property maintenance.
  • Ability to use proper lifting techniques to occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds or more, with assistance when appropriate.
  • Must be available to work some weekends and holidays as necessary.
