EmergencyMD is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Saint Ignace Township, Michigan, responsible for leading a maintenance team on various projects including landscaping and property upkeep. This role emphasizes excellent customer service and requires strong supervisory skills.

The Maintenance Supervisor, under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, is responsible for providing leadership and supervision to maintenance team members in a variety of interior and exterior projects, preventive maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, exterior maintenance, and continual upkeep of Casino complex property. The position is responsible for providing attentive, cheerful, courteous, professional customer service to all customers, internal and external, striving to always exceed their expectations.
Immediate peers, peers in other departments, immediate supervisor/manager, managers in other departments, executives, Board of Directors, customers and outside vendor/service providers.
Position medium with lifting of 50 pounds maximum and frequent lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds. Physical factors include frequent standing, sitting, pushing/pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, reaching, manual handling and bending; occasional walking, sitting, use of hearing, smell, near/midrange/far vision, depth perception and color/field of vision. Working conditions include frequent exposure to weather, noise, vibration and air quality and occasional exposure to heat/cold and wet/humidity. Potential hazards include frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, electric shock, and equipment and occasional exposure to high exposed places, chemicals, insecticides/pesticides, infectious exposure and computer use.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Five years of experience in building maintenance and/or construction field required. Two years of supervisory experience required.
Pool and Spa Certification preferred. Must undergo a Criminal background investigation done under the rules of the National Indian Gaming Commission.
Ability to operate a 3/4-ton pickup truck with plow preferred. Must have basic math (skills). Must have basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment. Must have knowledge in a variety of trades such as plumbing, carpentry and HVAC. Must have good decision-making skills. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must be able to work under pressure and handle difficult situations. Must have excellent public relation/customer service skills and be able to exhibit a friendly and positive attitude. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public. Must be able to encourage team members to work in a team environment. Native American preferred.
Will be required to have a Criminal background investigation done under the rules of the National Indian Gaming Commission. Will be required to complete and pass pre-employment drug testing.
