Job description

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and maintain all mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment across the Wichita facility.
  • Manage and support facility computer control systems and automation (including PLCs and VFDs).
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment performance and longevity.
  • Lead the maintenance team in delivering fabrication and repair support throughout the facility.
  • Troubleshoot complex equipment issues with a strong technical and creative approach.
  • Supervise both day and night shift maintenance crews, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
  • Allocate tasks based on team members’ skills and ensure work is completed efficiently and safely.
  • Ensure safe and compliant hazardous waste disposal.
  • Maintain and repair a wide range of facility infrastructure including air compressors, hydraulic units, thermocouples, transducers, and pressure systems.
  • Manage contractors and vendors on maintenance and facility projects, ensuring adherence to HSE policies and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate the installation of new equipment and fabricate custom fixtures as needed.
  • Support production departments (Winding, Finishing, Fittings, etc.) by minimizing downtime and maximizing equipment uptime.
  • Participate in capital planning and budget discussions regarding facility upgrades and improvements.
  • Maintain compliance with all NOV Company policies and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and development opportunities to maintenance staff.
Education And Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Facility Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance is required.
  • At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred.
  • Strong hands-on experience with welding (MIG, TIG, Stick), hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems (480V 3-phase, 277V 3-phase) and controls.
  • Proficiency in PLC and VFD programming, servicing, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with facility infrastructure system, including HVAC, plumbing, and compressed air.
  • Efficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, MS Project, etc.).
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: Depending upon experience — $28.75–$47.09 per hour.
