Job summary

WMFHA is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of mechanical and electrical technicians in a plastics manufacturing environment, ensuring safe, reliable operation of equipment. Responsibilities include leading maintenance planning, implementing improvement projects to reduce downtime, maintaining 5S, and following ISO procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise maintenance department to support manufacturing.
  • Maintain attendance and willingness for non-standard hours.
  • Able to troubleshoot equipment issues and minimize downtime.
  • Develop training for the maintenance team.
  • Coordinate with scheduling and production for PM and major repairs.
  • Review and follow ISO procedures; ensure compliance.
  • Perform skilled repair and maintenance operations with tools and machinery.
  • Oversee contractors and manage spare parts.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Supervise and coordinate day to day work activities of mechanical and electrical technicians to support a plastics manufacturing process.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in packaging, plastics, thermoforming, extrusion, thermoplastics, HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, polyethylene, blow molding, injection molding, polymers, polyolefins, or polypropylene would be a plus.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for supporting and following Safety Rules and Regulations
  • Supervise Maintenance Department functions to support manufacturing.
  • Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
  • Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.
  • Able to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Strong knowledge of Electrical, PLCs and Drives.
  • Develop training manuals for maintenance department.
  • Able to implement improvement projects to minimize equipment downtime and improve machine efficiency.
  • Available for call-ins during nights and weekends as equipment issues arise.
  • Analyze downtime and reports and monthly performance reports, etc.Manage spare stock purchasing & store stock application (SSA).
  • Execute special improvement / capital projects.
  • Assign and oversee engineers’ and technicians day-day work schedule / projects and monitor progress through the Word Order System.
  • Prepare and train engineers and technicians.
  • Must know and follow all ISO procedures for Maintenance Section.
  • Review all work orders, P.M., records, and forms.
  • Review/Approve evaluation for engineers and techs.
  • Maintain housekeeping and 5S.
  • Order parts/repair (Issue P/R).
  • Coordinate with Scheduling and Production for scheduled P.M. and major repair.
  • Modify root cause problem, analysis improvement.
  • Perform skilled repair and maintenance operations, using equipment such as hand and power tools, hydraulic presses and shears, and welding equipment.
  • Review, evaluate, accept, and coordinate completion of work bid from contractors.
  • Able to perform general building maintenance and repairs.
  • Other duties as assigned by Maintenance/Plant Manager.
