Job summary

The W Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead day‑to‑day maintenance at our New York facility. You will oversee a hands‑on team, manage preventive maintenance across building systems, and ensure safety and compliance for residents and staff.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in building maintenance with supervisory experience, strong carpentry/plumbing/electrical/HVAC skills, and a calm, respectful approach to resident interactions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building maintenance with at least 1 year in a lead role.
• Experience in assisted living, healthcare, or a similar residential setting preferred.
• Hands‑on skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
• Working knowledge of building systems and fire and life safety codes.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to interact with residents with respect and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform interior and exterior maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the facility and grounds.
• Carry out the preventive maintenance schedule for building systems, including heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, and emergency generators.
• Help ensure the facility meets NYS Department of Health, fire, and life safety requirements, and assist with inspections.
• Conduct safety rounds and address hazards promptly.
• Assign daily tasks, schedule, and oversee maintenance staff.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors and monitor quality of work.
• Complete and track work orders, logs, and compliance records.
• Monitor inventory and request purchases as needed.
• Respond to building emergencies and be on-call as needed.

Maintenance Supervisor

The W Assisted Living Management Company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day‑to‑day maintenance operations at our facility. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on team leader with strong technical skills across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, and a commitment to keeping our facility safe, compliant, and comfortable for our residents.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and perform interior and exterior maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the facility and grounds

• Carry out the preventive maintenance schedule for building systems, including heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, and emergency generators

• Help ensure the facility meets NYS Department of Health, fire, and life safety requirements, and assist with preparing for inspections and surveys

• Conduct regular safety rounds of the building and grounds and address any hazards promptly

• Assign daily tasks, schedule, and oversee the work of maintenance staff

• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors and monitor the quality of their work

• Complete and track work orders, maintenance logs, and compliance records

• Monitor supply and equipment inventory and request purchases as needed

• Respond to building emergencies and be available for on‑call coverage as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of building maintenance experience, including at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role

• Experience in assisted living, healthcare, or a similar residential setting strongly preferred
