Job summary

RENK America seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team, directing electricians, millwrights, machine repair and other trades in Muskegon, Michigan. You will oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs and coordinate shutdowns to maximize uptime.

Key responsibilities include establishing maintenance priorities, developing KPI metrics via CMMS, ensuring safety training, and managing contractors while communicating status to plant leadership.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree requirement with 6+ years relevant experience.
• Bachelor's Degree requirement with 2+ years relevant experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise maintenance employees including:electricians, millwrights, machine repair, and other trades.
• Establish daily, weekly, and shutdown maintenance priorities.
• Ensure timely repair and preventive maintenance of CNC machining centers, horizontal and vertical mills, lathes and turning centers, heat treat equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, assembly equipment, cranes and material handling systems, building and facility systems.
• Coordinate emergency repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Develop KPI’s and improvements through a CMMS.
• Be available for on-call emergencies and provide quick resolution to any unexpected equipment failures or facility issues.
• Communicate maintenance status to plant leadership.
• Manage contractor work and service providers.

Description

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for leading our maintenance team and ensuring the optimal functioning of all equipment and systems. This position will oversee the maintenance and repair of facility equipment.

Essential Functions

• Direct and supervise maintenance employees including:electricians, millwrights, machine repair, and other trades.
• Establish daily, weekly, and shutdown maintenance priorities.
• Ensure timely repair and preventive maintenance of:
  • CNC machining centers
  • Horizontal and vertical mills
  • Lathes and turning centers
  • Heat treat equipment
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Assembly equipment
  • Cranes and material handling systems
  • Building and facility systems
• Coordinate emergency repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Ensure completion of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Develop KPI’s and improvements through a CMMS
• Ensure all required skilled trades safety training and compliance training is completed.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedule to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery.
• Be available for on-call emergencies and provide quick resolution to any unexpected equipment failures or facility issues.
• Communicate maintenance status to plant leadership.
• Manage contractor work and service providers.

Position Requirements

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in a technical field, facilities management or related field with 6+ years relevant experience.
• Bachelors Degree in a technical field, facilities management or related field with 2+years relevant experience.
• Minimum education and years of experience requirements are not to be used exclusive of other leveling factors. Substitution of additional relevant education and experience for stated qualifications may be considered.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance
