Equity LifeStyle Properties, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Miami, Florida. The role oversees the Maintenance and Housekeeping Departments, performing technical labor and leading a team to meet company standards across the community.

You will handle interviewing, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions while organizing preventive maintenance, deep-cleaning programs, and on-call emergency support. The position involves budget coordination and guest-focused service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of direct technical work experience in maintenance areas (plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, etc.).
• Previous supervisory experience is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work with heavy equipment.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of maintenance and housekeeping employees and ensure safe work practices.
• Interview candidates, train new employees, conduct performance reviews, and handle disciplinary actions as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document findings in a maintenance log.
• Create and implement a daily/weekly/quarterly deep-cleaning program.
• Act as hands-on supervisor in maintenance and housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Inspect common areas and amenities to ensure guest-ready condition.
• Review and delegate work orders in a timely manner.
• Monitor equipment and respond to service needs in buildings and outdoor areas.
• Contribute to annual community budgeting for maintenance projects and capital expenditures.
• Operate within budget and communicate with management.

ELS is hiring for the position of Maintenance Supervisor in Miami, Florida.

What you’ll do:

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the Maintenance & Housekeeping Departments and Employees. The Maintenance Supervisor performs maintenance duties requiring technical labor skills, including plumbing, light carpentry and construction, HVAC repairs and adjustments, and appliance repair. You will work with your maintenance and housekeeping teams to ensure the community meets the company’s quality operational standards.

Your job will include:

• Manage a team of maintenance and housekeeping employees and ensure that they follow safe work practices.
• Perform all duties associated with supervising the maintenance and housekeeping staff: interview job candidates,train new employees,conduct performance reviews, and initiate disciplinary actions and termination recommendations if necessary.
• Perform various preventative maintenance functions and record findings in a maintenance log, either through delegation or by directly handling required tasks.
• Create and implement an effective daily, weekly, and quarterly deep-cleaning program.
• Hands-on Supervisor position, whereas the Maintenance Supervisor will act in a housekeeping and maintenance tech role on an as-needed basis.
• Proactively address property-wide aesthetics. Inspect all common areas, amenities, RV sites, and ensure they are made guest-ready.
• Review and delegate work orders in a timely manner.
• Monitor the maintenance and upkeep of all community mechanical equipment, including water heater and HVAC units in common buildings, lawn mowers, weed-eaters, etc.
• Ensure that your maintenance team performs to company standards and that service requests are handled in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner.
• Participate in the preparation of the annual community budget with respect to maintenance projects and capital expenditures.
• Operate within your team’s approved budget and make decisions with respect to the allocation of funds within the maintenance and housekeeping department.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with management and staff.
• Respond to guest concerns with respect and courtesy.
• Communicate with vendors and ensure proposals accurately reflect the property’s needs.
• Attend and participate in training programs as requested.
• Assist with and attend community-sponsored activities and functions.
• Helpmonitor capital improvement projects.
• Assist management with special maintenance projects.
• Perform on-call emergency services as required.
• Represent the community in a professional manner.
• Other task as assigned by the Resort's General Manager.

Experience & skills you bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
