Job summary

Dover's Vehicle Service Group (VSG) in Madison, IN, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor on site. The role oversees installation, repair and maintenance of facilities and machinery, directing technicians and ensuring safe daily operations within the plant.

You will maintain maintenance logs, coordinate with engineering, manage MRO inventory and train new staff, while supporting safety and quality initiatives across the site.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree with 2+ years of supervision and 1 year MRO inventory preferred.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic and mechanical schematics.
• Strong electrical, mechanical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with MRO components and repair cost evaluations.
• Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.

Thoroughly train new employees, correct or commend employee's health and safety performance, and conduct adequate performance appraisals by evaluating an employee's safety performance. Ensures that Health, Safety, and Environmental standards are adhered to in accordance to Occupational Health & Safety Act. Work with MRO Team on spare parts activities which include inventory control, inventory reorder points, minimum/maximum stock quantities, and parts ordering. Ensure that spare parts material requirements are readily available to support Maintenance activities and the manufacturing operation, including shutdowns, CAPEX and special projects. Contact vendors for pricing, availability and delivery timelines. Work with MRO Team to Expedite delivery of equipment repair materials to support emergency situations. Assist MRO Team obsolete inventory removal and reconcile inventory values. Maintain inventory accuracies through an established cycle count policy and procedures. Analyze and solve equipment part issues dealing with component interchangeability and premature failure by locating and establishing alternate suppliers.
