Job summary

Embassy Suites Louisville Downtown is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead day-to-day building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs. You will oversee a team, schedule tasks, and ensure guest comfort and safety.

The role requires 3–5 years of building maintenance experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication to coordinate with hotel staff and vendors. This is an in-person, full-time position offering comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment and respond to guest questions and requests courteously.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work areas.
  • Diagnose issues, replace parts, test repairs and adjust as needed.
  • Lead and train team members, assign work to maximize department efficiency.
  • Provide emergency maintenance support and participate in staffing planning.

Job description

We are hiring a Maintenance Supervisor at Embassy Suites Louisville Downtown Hotels.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the day-to-day skilled maintenance tasks including electrical, painting, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry mechanics, and troubleshooting equipment repair.
  • Perform daily inspection of equipment.
  • Respond in a courteous manner to all guest questions, requests and complaints.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Diagnostic skills, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Performs preventative maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis.
  • Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
  • Assist with day-to-day staffing plan and assign work to enhance department efficiency.
  • Understand and respond to customers’ needs and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
  • Educate and train all team members in compliance with national and local laws and safety regulations.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and team members in compliance with regulatory policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience in general building maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to reason and use strong judgment skills.
  • Strong leadership skills teamwork orientation.
  • Have the ability to connect and effectively communicate with people quickly in an outgoing, friendly manner.
  • Have the ability to complete work accurately and in accordance with company standards.
