Job summary

MBV-Midwest, LLC in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team in a fast-paced beverage facility. You will drive preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and partner with Operations to maximize uptime and safety.

Five years of manufacturing maintenance experience (food/beverage preferred), a GED or higher, and knowledge of CMMS, PLCs, and Excel/Word are required. Weekend rotation may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have strong safety culture and compliance with policies.
• Experience writing reports and manuals.
• Ability to present information to managers and customers.
• Mechanical aptitude with problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with CMMS, PLCs and ladder logic is a plus.

Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor leads a team of maintenance technicians responsible for maximizing equipment uptime, ensuring plant safety, and supporting production efficiency within a fast-paced beverage manufacturing facility. This role partners closely with Operations to drive preventive maintenance initiatives, troubleshoot equipment issues, and develop a high-performing maintenance team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Promotes and enforces a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and effective collaboration across all levels of the organization.
• Directs workers engaged in maintaining and repairing equipment including, but not limited to such items as: motors, pumps, conveyors, fillers, case formers, case loaders, sealers, coders, palletizers and other packaging and processing equipment.
• Requisitions tools, equipment and supplies.
• Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications and standards.
• Plans labor and maintenance activities to support production schedules while maximizing equipment reliability and uptime.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
• Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in resolving work problems.
• Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
• Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individuals in the department.
• Utilize CMMS systems to manage preventive maintenance, work orders, equipment history, and maintenance reporting.
• Recommends parts to be kept in stock or to be deleted from stock.
• Flexibility to work schedule including weekends depending upon staffing and equipment maintenance requirements.
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Experience for Success

• Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers.
• Basic math skills using whole numbers and fractions. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• High degree of mechanical aptitude and ability to solve practical problems.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Knowledge of ADP Timekeeping system; Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word software.
• PLC programming and knowledge of ladder logic is a plus.

Education and/or Experience

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline is a plus.
• A minimum of five years of manufacturing experience, two of which must be food or beverage manufacturing experience required.
• Equivalent combinations of education, technical training, certifications, and relevant maintenance leadership experience will be considered.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment can be very loud.
