Job summary

Good Oil Company in Northwest Indiana is seeking an experienced Maintenance Director (HVAC) to lead the maintenance team while remaining actively involved in the field. This is a working leadership role, not a desk job, requiring strong HVAC skills and a passion for mentoring technicians.

The role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, inventory management, budgeting, and coordinating contractors to keep our convenience store locations well maintained.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification and at least 5 years of HVAC experience required.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in commercial building maintenance.
• Valid driver's license and basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
• Perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building repairs.
• Prioritize and assign work orders while helping complete them.
• Develop and oversee preventive maintenance programs.
