Job summary

Summit Property Management in Houston's Galleria Area is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for a new acquisition. This role oversees essential repair work across exterior, grounds, mechanical, plumbing, and related systems.

Responsibilities include establishing and tracking preventive maintenance, supervising contractors, keeping an up-to-date inventory of tools, and maintaining your on-call schedule for evenings and weekends. Strong multi-family experience is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a multi-family environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred; college-level/trade school preferred.
• Certifications such as CAMT, boiler license, EPA, CPO, electrical, plumbing, and first aid are preferred.

• Operate the property within the established budget and notify the Community Manager of any expected variations.
• Keep an ongoing and updated inventory of the property tools, furniture & accessories.
• Attend trade association meetings and seminars when possible.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct repair of: the building exterior, grounds, mechanical systems, plumbing systems, etc.

• Implement and follow a preventive maintenance program

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in a multi-family environment
• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred; college-level/trade school preferred
• Preference for candidates holding the following certifications: CAMT, boiler license, EPA, CPO, electrical, plumbing, and first aid.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, electrical systems, all major appliances, pool, and spa equipment, and other community systems.
• Basic computer proficiency preferred
• RealPage/Sight Plan experience preferred

Physical Demands:

Will be exposed to constant activity that requires intermittent standing, bending, crouching, pushing/pulling, lifting/moving/carrying light and heavy loads, and climbing stairs and ladders.
