Job summary

F&S Fresh Foods is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our Conley, GA facility. You will lead the maintenance team, partner with the Maintenance Manager, and keep production running by applying high‑level controls and electrical expertise to troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and low‑voltage systems while performing mechanical repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or trade certification preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance in food, beverage, packaging, pharmaceutical, or similar manufacturing.
• 2+ years of leadership experience as a maintenance supervisor, lead mechanic, or shift lead.
• Strong electrical and controls troubleshooting skills, including PLCs, I/O, VFDs, and low‑voltage circuits.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians, building their controls and troubleshooting skills.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, I/O cards, VFDs, sensors, and other low‑voltage controls to restore equipment quickly.
• Repair and maintain scales, baggers, heat‑seal equipment, wrappers, and conveyors, from controls through mechanical.
• Reduce equipment downtime through faster troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Own preventive maintenance compliance, auditing PM quality and closing out missed or overdue work.
• Use RedZone to manage work orders, PM schedules, maintenance history, and equipment performance.
• Partner with Production, Sanitation, Quality and Engineering to minimize downtime and coordinate contractor and vendor work.
• Ensure all work meets OSHA, GMP, HACCP, SQF, and LOTO requirements and support audit readiness.

What’s the Role

The Maintenance Supervisor is a hands‑on leader at our Conley, GA facility, partnering with the Maintenance Manager to keep production running and to grow the skills of the maintenance team. This role brings high‑level controls and electrical expertise to the site, troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, and low‑voltage systems while also turning wrenches on mechanical repairs. Your work will directly reduce equipment downtime and build a stronger, more capable team, helping F&S deliver fresh product to customers every day. The ideal candidate is an experienced, floor‑focused troubleshooter who enjoys teaching others and takes pride in getting equipment back up fast.

What You’ll Own

Requirements

What You Bring

• Education – High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or trade certification preferred
• Experience – 5+ years of hands‑on industrial maintenance in food, beverage, packaging, pharmaceutical, or similar manufacturing
• Leadership – 2+ years of leadership experience as a maintenance supervisor, lead mechanic, or shift lead
• Must have – Strong electrical and controls troubleshooting skills, including PLCs, I/O, VFDs, and low‑voltage circuits
• Technical skill – Mechanical experience with packaging equipment, conveyors, motors, and gearboxes; able to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals
• Nice to have – Bilingual English/Spanish, food manufacturing experience, and RedZone experience
• Personal quality – Hands‑on leader who prefers working on the floor and enjoys teaching others

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods
• Ability to work in refrigerated and wet processing environments
• Ability to wear required PPE and perform hands‑on mechanical and electrical work
