Job summary

Lifespace Communities, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor at Abbey Delray South in Delray Beach, FL. The role pays $55,900.00-$76,800.00+ annually and oversees daily maintenance operations, safety and quality controls, and coordination of staff and contractors.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 3–5 years of experience, and a valid state driver’s license. A background screening is required as part of Florida law compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field required; 3–5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A state issued driver’s license with clean driving record as defined by current insurance mandates.
• Certification or license as required by state/local regulations to operate/repair equipment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident inquiries with urgency, escalate when needed and coordinate with supervision for tasks requiring higher authority.
• Implement production and quality control standards and provide progress reports as required.
• Oversee production activities of assigned sub-departments including contracted services to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate daily staffing to complete all work orders, reassigning as needed to cover workload.
• Implement and monitor preventative maintenance programs for facilities and equipment.
• Direct renovations for resident homes, health center, and interiors/exteriors per plan.
• Train staff on proper use of equipment, chemicals, and policies in their area.
• Manage physical resources and equipment maintenance.

A Few Details About The Role

• Generate responses to resident inquiries with a sense of urgency and follow through and communicate to a higher authority if the task requires further assistance; incorporate new information, monitor, divide and assign work order system.
• Implement, as directed, production and quality control standards; follow-up progress reports as required.
• Direct oversight of production activities of assigned sub-departments including contracted services ensuring safety standards and regulatory compliance is met.
• Coordinate daily staffing to complete all work assignments and replacing any absences or reassign team members to ensure there is proper coverage to cover the workload.
• Implement and monitor preventative maintenance programs for all facilities, related equipment and systems and other department equipment.
• As assigned, direct resident homes, health center and interior/ exterior renovation projects are successfully completed according to plans.
• Teach team members the proper use of all department equipment, chemicals and facility policies and procedures is assigned area of responsibilities.
• Manage and maintain physical and disposable resources including equipment and operation maintenance.

• Bachelor’s degree in related field; three to five years applicable experience; or equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
• Certification, license or equivalent as required under state and/ or local regulation to operate or repair certain equipment.
• A state issued driver’s license with a driving record clear of infractions as defined by current insurance mandates.
