Job summary

Teasdale Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Carrollton, TX to lead a team of technicians, plan preventive maintenance, and minimize downtime.

You will coordinate with production, inspect equipment, troubleshoot issues, and uphold safety and quality standards across the facility. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a supervisory role within food manufacturing, strong mechanical/electrical expertise, and experience with CMMS tools and GMP compliance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory/lead role in food manufacturing.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance and reliability practices.
  • Proficiency in CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a maintenance technician team, providing guidance and training.
  • Plan and prioritize preventive maintenance schedules and work orders.
  • Coordinate maintenance tasks with production to minimize downtime.
  • Inspect machinery and facilities for issues and hazards; take corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs with vendors.
  • Maintain records of maintenance, performance, and spare parts inventory.
  • Enforce safety protocols per company policies and OSHA standards.
  • Collaborate to implement continuous improvement for reliability and efficiency.
  • Monitor maintenance expenses to stay within budget; optimize resources.
  • Provide regular reports on maintenance activities and KPIs.

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize downtime and maintain product quality and safety standards.**WHAT YOU'LL DO:*** Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity.* Plan and prioritize maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, and equipment inspections, to minimize production interruptions and downtime.* Coordinate with production and other departments to schedule maintenance tasks and ensure minimal impact on production schedules.* Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and facilities to identify issues, defects, or potential hazards and implement corrective actions as needed.* Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs or coordinate repairs with external vendors to restore functionality in a timely manner.* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory of spare parts and supplies.* Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and industry standards.* Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance.* Monitor and control maintenance expenses within budgetary constraints by optimizing resources and minimizing waste.* Provide regular reports to the Maintenance Manager on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and adherence to maintenance schedules and KPIs.**WHAT YOU'LL NEED:*** High school diploma or equivalent;* Proven experience in maintenance operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.* Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.* Experience with preventive maintenance programs, root cause analysis, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.* Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.* Familiarity with food safety regulations and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.* Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.* Ability to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies outside of regular business hours.**WHAT WE'D LIKE TO SEE:*** Associate's degree or technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or related field preferred.* Certification in maintenance management or related field (e.g., Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) is a plus.**WHY TEASDALE:*** Opportunities for pay adjustments/increases with skill or position development.* Day One - Health, Dental, and Vision Benefits* Day One Accrual of Sick Time* 401(k) Retirement Plan with Matching Contributions at 60 Days* Career Growth Opportunities and Professional Development*Are you passionate about making a difference every single day, being a part of a growing team, and transforming your job into a career?
