Job summary

Landmark Snacks Group in Beatrice, Nebraska, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in a fast-paced meat packing facility. You will oversee daily activities, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, and drive reliability across conveyors, refrigeration, and packaging equipment.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, plus CMMS experience, supervisory skills, and a commitment to USDA/OSHA safety

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
  • 5+ years maintenance experience in food manufacturing.
  • 2+ years supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints and manuals.
  • Familiarity with CMMS and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and schedule maintenance staff to ensure timely repairs.
  • Maintain conveyors, refrigeration, packaging, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ensure USDA/OSHA safety compliance.
  • Keep accurate maintenance logs and work orders.
  • Collaborate with production and QA to resolve issues.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and vendor coordination.
  • Respond to emergencies and coordinate rapid repairs.
  • Participate in capital projects and equipment upgrades.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and suggest fixes.

Overview:The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the maintenance department in a fast-paced meat packing facility. This role ensures all equipment, machinery, and infrastructure are functioning efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and supporting production goals. The supervisor leads a team of maintenance technicians and coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance activities.Responsibilities:Supervise and schedule maintenance staff to ensure timely repairs and preventive maintenance.Monitor and maintain critical equipment such as conveyors, refrigeration systems, packaging machines, and hydraulic systems.Ensure compliance with USDA, OSHA, and company safety standards.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment logs, and work orders.Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to resolve equipment-related issues.Manage inventory of spare parts and tools; coordinate with vendors for supplies and services.rain and mentor maintenance personnel on equipment handling, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.Respond to emergency breakdowns and coordinate rapid repairs to minimize production delays.Participate in capital projects, equipment upgrades, and facility improvements.Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.Skills and Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical/electrical engineering preferred.5+ years of maintenance experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment.2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays as needed.Sufficient written communication and reading skillsAbility to operate or to quickly learn equipmentGood time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesAbility to follow directionsAbility to assess products for quality complianceWork Environment & Physical DemandsThe work environment characteristics & physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing essential functions of the job.
