Job summary

ATI Specialty Alloys & Components in Albany, Oregon, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to provide functional direction to Maintenance Technicians and Crafts Persons within our Asset Maintenance and Asset Reliability programs. You will lead with safety and efficiency, ensuring work aligns with our Asset Maintenance Work Process and related procedures.

• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in maintenance in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
• Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, manufacturing, business or related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
• LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Direct Maintenance Technicians and crafts staff to maximize utilization of resources.
• Monitor AM and AR implementation progress and resolve issues.
• Transmit compliance, environmental, health, safety, and management of change goals to direct reports.
• Ensure work is processed and executed per Asset Maintenance Work Process.
• Coordinate shift and day maintenance activities per schedules.
• Set priorities with the operations maintenance gatekeeper to control costs.
• Record job plans, feedback, and equipment history for work orders.
• Participate in RCAs and involve direct reports.
• Assist reliability planning with RCA-derived PPM tasks.

Purpose

Provides functional direction to Maintenance Technicians / Crafts Persons assigned to support the Asset Maintenance and Asset Reliability Work Processes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Works with the operations maintenance gatekeepers and maintenance schedulers to ensure full utilization of all crafts.
• Monitors AM and AR implementation progress and helps resolve issues that impede progress.
• Transmits compliance, environmental, health, safety, management of change and business goals to direct reports.
• Assures that work is processed and executed in accordance with the Asset Maintenance Work Process and other integrated processes.
• Coordinates shift and day maintenance activities as per maintenance schedules.
• Works in conjunction with the operations maintenance gatekeeper to set priorities and accomplish maintenance cost control.
• Assures compliance with the recording of job plan evaluation, feedback, and equipment history for work orders.
• Participates in RCAs and assures that direct reports actively participate.
• Assists reliability planning review teams with the establishment of PPM tasks stemming from the RCA activities.

Basic Qualifications

• 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in Maintenance is required, in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment

Preferred Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or related field is preferred
• Supervisory experience in a union environment is highly preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• High attention to detail
• Proficiency of Microsoft Office Software Suite, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Experience with LEAN manufacturing practices and continuous improvement concepts

Salary Range: $65,000 to $85,000/annually +
