Space Coast Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Merritt Island, FL is seeking a reliable Maintenance Assistant to help keep the facility and grounds in top condition. The role ensures a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities include carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and HVAC upkeep with a focus on safety and quality workmanship. This on-site position offers full-time hours and a stable shift schedule.

Formación

• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a nursing home setting.
• Proficiency in using basic hand and power tools.
• Hands-on experience with carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs, painting, and flooring.
• Ability to assist with groundskeeping and seasonal maintenance tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• EPA Section 608 certification for HVAC and refrigerant handling preferred.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 safety training preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform daily maintenance and repair tasks, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, flooring, and more.
• Safely operate tools and equipment with precision and care.
• Conduct routine inspections and complete minor repairs as needed.
• Assist with HVAC system upkeep, including filter replacements.
• Support overall facility maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and compliance.
