Job summary

Dallas Independent School District is seeking a Maintenance Specialist II, NE Multi-Skilled (260 Days), to perform repairs and installations across carpentry, flooring, wall, ceiling and painting. The role requires hands-on expertise in multiple crafts, strong record keeping, and adherence to safety protocols.

Must be able to work evenings or other schedules as district needs dictate, and maintain inventory and documentation for maintenance activities.

Qualifications

Accredited high school diploma or USA equivalency.
Three years of work experience across four crafts.
One year of experience in carpentry, flooring, ceiling repair, and painting.
Ability to use paint spray equipment and power/hand tools.
Must pass physical to wear respirator.

Responsibilities

Repair and installations across carpentry, flooring, wall, ceiling and painting.
Identify and resolve maintenance issues across multi-skills crafts.
Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and vehicles; document work.
Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE.
Respond to after-hours emergencies and adjust hours as needed.
Communicate with principals and district staff during projects.
Complete work orders and maintain records.
