Maintenance Specialist (F/M/X)

About the role

Our Maintenance Team of 4 focuses on equipment uptime in collaboration with operations.

As a General Craftsman, you will work on frontline maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of plant equipment to support both mechanical and electrical repairs. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the production line and positively impact maintenance of plant equipment.

• Execute routine mechanical repairs and lubrication of pumps, gearboxes, and conveyor systems and identify mechanical wear (e.g., bearing wear).
• Perform fluid handling tasks, including valves, piping, and slurry transfer systems, and understand the impact of abrasive materials on equipment.
• Handle basic electrical tasks: wiring, motor replacement, and multimeter continuity testing.
• Assist instrumentation and electrical specialists with installation and termination of field instruments (flow meters, pressure transmitters).
• Maintain accurate inventory records; verify spare part availability against SAP data.
• Support site safety by conducting interlock testing and following LOTO procedures.

We offer a fixed‑term (6 months) contract that is full time on site.

About you

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical school certification in Industrial Maintenance or Electrical is a plus.

Relevant experience: 3–5 years in industrial maintenance (chemical or heavy industrial environment preferred).

Competencies

• Select appropriate tools and materials for standard repairs.
• Determine "Fix vs Replace" for minor mechanical components.
• Prioritize daily work orders based on production impact and safety risk.
• Basic SAP knowledge is a plus.

Compensation

Base pay: $35.97 per hour, increasing to $43.81 over the first 12 months.
