Job summary

YouFit is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to keep our gym clean, safe, and welcoming for members and guests. You will clean restrooms, locker rooms, workout spaces, and common areas, while sanitizing cardio machines and equipment.

You’ll handle trash, restock supplies, and assist with minor repairs as part of a collaborative team. The role requires 18+ years old, English fluency, and flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Proficient in reading, speaking, and writing in English.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in cleaning, janitorial, or maintenance roles is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness of restrooms, locker rooms, workout spaces, and common areas.
• Clean and sanitize fitness equipment and cardio machines.
• Empty trash and restock supplies.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain hygiene and safety.
• Handle emergency cleaning situations promptly (spills, biohazard cleanup).
• Monitor and report facility maintenance issues (plumbing, fixtures).
• Perform minor repairs (replace light bulbs, tighten fixtures).
• Follow daily and deep cleaning schedules and sanitation checklists.
• Interact professionally with members and staff regarding cleaning concerns.
• Work as part of a team to maintain a seamless gym environment.
