Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in general maintenance and safety of facilities.
• Basic carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and sprinkler work.
• Intermediate computer literacy (Word/Excel) and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the supervisor to create and implement preventative maintenance.
• Perform inspections of facilities and internal/external systems.
• Assist with bidding, vendor selection, and subcontractor oversight.
• Complete maintenance tasks (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC).
• Close out work orders and maintain logs and records.
• Maintain furnishings, equipment, and facility keys; assist admin tasks.
• Support staff with timely, quality service delivery and teamwork.
• Attend trainings and meetings; manage inventory; communicate needs.
• Perform ad hoc projects and maintain a neat appearance on site.

Reports to: Maintenance SupervisorDepartment: ProgramRegion: Orange CountyJob Summary: The Maintenance Specialist provides support to the maintenance team in the general maintenance and safety of the facilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:MaintenanceGoal: Maintain Mercy House properties to the highest standards ensuring maintenance tasks are completed accurately, timely and to safety code standards.
