Maintenance Specialist

Job summary

USA Compression Partners, LP provides mission-critical natural gas compression services and employs 800+ across 18 states. The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing maintenance on our fleet of natural gas compression equipment while upholding safety and professionalism on-site.

The role requires field-level communication skills, ability to read technical manuals, and independent work with strong mechanical aptitude. Travel and after-hours support may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Technical or trade school certification or 3 years of additional work experience in related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of natural gas compression experience.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills at the field level to both customers and employees.
• Capable of driving a commercial size truck and a valid driver’s license with a Motor Vehicle Record history acceptable to USA Compression.
• Operate independently with little or no supervision.
• High degree of mechanical ability.
• Read and understand technical manuals.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Internet and inventory tracking software.
• Ability to understand written and verbal communication from the company and supervisor including training, procedures, instructions, etc.
• Applicant must have the ability to legally work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Perform Maintenance tasks as outlined in the company’s Maintenance Manual.
• Travel is required and is expected to be approximately 25% of the time worked.
• Follow and observe all safety and environmental policies.
• May engage in project work for company and for customer.
• Ensure parts and other resources are in place prior to scheduled project date.
• Maintain high level of attention to detail.
• Accurately input data into FSA immediately following task.
• Promptly return unused parts and cores.
• Maintain company vehicle according to company guidelines.
• Assist in repair of unplanned major failures.
• May be asked to assist during after-hours call out, as needed.
• Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
