Position Summary

The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the assisting with the safety and operational integrity of GCC and properties, buildings and vehicle fleet.

Essential Job Functions

• Complete maintenance and repair requests daily as requested by staff
• Assure through regular inspections that maintenance procedures are consistently meeting health and safety standards
• Assure through regular inspections that the facilities are operationally and structurally sound
• Participate as requested on the environment of care, osha committees
• Maintain facility grounds per regular schedule to assure an attractive and welcoming appearance
• Assist with running and maintaining computer cables, phone wires, and electrical connections
• Participate in meetings and attend trainings as required and requested.
• Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision and goals of WestCare Foundation; and
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Experience and Competencies:

Physical Demands

• Requires mobility and physical activity: Having an adequate range of body motion and mobility to work in an office, residential, or outdoor environment including standing and walking (even and uneven surfaces), bending, twisting, reaching, balancing, frequent heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds.
