Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • General Maintenance and Repairs
    Perform routine and emergency repairs across plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general facility systems.
    Tr • troubleshoot and repair equipment such as pedi tubs, salon chairs, dryers, and small appliances.
    Complete light carpentry, drywall patching, hardware replacement, and minor fabrication projects such as metal rings, supports, or brackets.
    Replace lighting, switches, outlets, and fixtures as needed.
  • Preventative Maintenance
    Conduct regular walkthroughs to proactively identify facility issues.
    Maintain logs of preventative maintenance tasks, inspections, and completed repairs.
    Ensure adequate stock of supplies, including light bulbs, HVAC filters, cleaning products, and maintenance materials.
  • Landscaping and Exterior Care
    Perform exterior upkeep including planting flowers, weeding, trimming, mulching, watering, and general grounds care.
    Maintain dumpster and trash areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
    Assist with snow and ice removal as needed.
  • Painting and Facility Upkeep
    Paint and refresh walls, trim, and other surfaces to maintain a clean and polished environment.
    Assist with general facility organization and minor cleaning tasks related to upkeep.
  • Emergency and After-Hours Support
    Respond to urgent facility issues such as leaks, outages, equipment failures, or safety hazards.
    Occasionally support after‑hours or weekend emergencies.
  • Vendor and Project Support
    Assist with coordinating vendors, obtaining quotes, and supporting repair or renovation projects.
    Work with the Facilities Manager on special projects, remodels, and seasonal facility updates.
  • Safety and Compliance
    Follow safe work practices and identify potential hazards.
    Ensure repairs and maintenance meet safety, quality, and company standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Minimum Requirements
    High school diploma or equivalent.
    Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
    Strong attendance, reliability, and personal accountability.
    Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
    Professional demeanor and appearance.
    Must pass a background check and have favorable references.
  • Technical Skills and Experience
    2 to 4 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, construction, landscaping, or a related field preferred.
    Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry repair.
    Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and basic shop equipment safely and effectively.
    Experience with small‑scale fabrication (wood or metal) is a plus.
    Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks such as bending, carrying, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
  • Preferred but Not Required
    HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or maintenance technician training.
    OSHA 10 certification.
    Landscaping or horticulture experience.
