As a Senior Maintenance Specialist, you will develop, evaluate, and optimize maintenance programs for critical equipment within our clients Power Delivery Grid and Transmission Communication System. This role requires advanced technical expertise to ensure reliability, safety, and efficiency across major projects and maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and evaluate maintenance programs for specified equipment.
- Review component performance and associated program requirements.
- Analyze maintenance methods and procedures; recommend improvements.
- Initiate program or design changes to enhance reliability and productivity.
- Implement preventive maintenance activities and diagnostic techniques.
- Establish standards for work performance and material stocking levels.
- Review effectiveness of maintenance activities and recommend changes.
- Develop maintenance procedures and resolve technical issues identified by technicians or craft personnel.
- Observe and evaluate maintenance methods; create improved preventive and corrective procedures in compliance with OSHA, ANSI, IEEE, NESC, and TVA standards.
- Deliver technical training sessions on maintenance methods for power delivery components (including obsolete equipment).
- Coordinate specialized diagnostic and repair work as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Extensive experience in maintenance program development and evaluation within power delivery or transmission systems.
- Technical Knowledge: Advanced understanding of maintenance principles, practices, and procedures; familiarity with OSHA, ANSI, IEEE, NESC standards.
- Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to lead and train technical teams.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications preferred.
