Job summary

Qarbon Aerospace is a premier manufacturer of advanced composite components and assemblies for commercial and military aircraft. Our facility-based Maintenance Specialist role involves multi-trade work including carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, sheet metal, welding, and machinery repair.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, can read blueprints and wiring diagrams, and is eligible for an active security clearance. ITAR guidelines apply, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Must be US citizen or a permanent resident per ITAR guidelines.
• Not eligible for Visa sponsorship or for a foreign person per ITAR.
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance or related trades.
• Active clearance is highly preferred; eligible to obtain and maintain one.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections to determine required repair and maintenance for facilities, machinery and equipment.
• Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams and specifications.
• Set up and operate tools and equipment to complete assigned work.

Maintenance Specialist Position Overview

Must also be able to perform work in more than one of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine, and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding. Makes routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, battery operated vehicles, and equipment. Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment. Interprets blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications. Sets up and operates all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned work.

Education and Other Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen or a Permanent resident (i.e., ‘Green Card’) per ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) guidelines.
• This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or a foreign person per ITAR.
• 5+ years of experience
• An active clearance is highly preferred. Candidates without an active clearance may still be considered but must be eligible to obtain and maintain one.
