Job summary

Republic Services in Inver Grove Heights, MN, is seeking a Maintenance Technician C to perform basic preventive maintenance and light repairs on our diesel and non-diesel fleet. You will work under supervision and help keep our highly technical vehicles on the road, supporting drivers and routes.

The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, learning new technologies, and following standard procedures. A valid driver's license is preferred as the team contributes to a safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified diesel maintenance program is a plus but not required.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification T8 PM is a plus but not required.
• 1-3 years of experience
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and troubleshoot common faults.
• Valid Driver's License is preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintains a basic knowledge of a vehicle's mechanical and electrical systems to perform basic preventive maintenance and some repair functions.
• Areas of equipment maintenance may include vehicle preventive maintenance inspections and adjustments; Oil changes and fluids replenishment; Adjustments and light repairs, including tire changes; and Basic electrical work, such as light changes.
• Able to conduct visual inspections to identify potential equipment issues and the sources of malfunctions using a variety of tools.
• Completes applicable Company training programs.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

With direct supervision from a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager, a Maintenance Technician C performs preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks. This position requires basic knowledge of vehicle systems to perform routine maintenance and repair. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Pay Range

The pay range for this position is $24.10 to $33.10* which reflects the minimum wage in multiple jurisdictions. The actual range will depend on the locality in which you are hired.
