Job summary

Hubbell Realty Company is seeking a Maintenance Service Technician to join our team in Grimes, IA. You will perform day-to-day maintenance tasks, coordinate with property managers, and help keep apartment homes market-ready for new residents.

You'll participate in after-hours emergency coverage, have access to a company vehicle during on-call rotations, and help manage parts inventory and vendor bids. A hands-on approach and strong communication are essential to deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability including weekend coverage.
• General maintenance experience in appliance repair, carpentry, plumbing or electrical.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing make-ready checklists to ensure all apartment homes are ready for new residents.
• Be part of the after-hours emergency team with a company-provided vehicle during on-call rotations.
• Partner with Property Managers to obtain bids and negotiate prices for tree branches fallen on garages.
• Order and keep inventory of supplies and parts in a well-kept maintenance shop.

A typical Maintenance Service Technician’s day might include:

• Reviewing make-ready checklists to ensure all apartment homes are ready for the new resident(s) resulting in a 5-star Google review.
• Keeping our communities running 24/7 by being a part of our after‑hours emergency team. You’ll get to proudly cruise around town in a “GO Team” company provided vehicle for 7 days during the on‑call rotation.
• Partnering with Property Managers to obtain bids and negotiate prices for a tree branch that just fell onto a garage roof.
• Ordering and keeping inventory of supplies and parts in a well‑kept maintenance shop.

The salary range for this position is $ 23.00 - 26.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
