Job summary

Village Green is seeking a Maintenance Service Manager to oversee the maintenance department and ensure the apartment community is well maintained and in good working order. The role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and delivering high-quality service to residents.

The position involves supervising staff, managing service requests, and participating in budgeting and capital improvements. A focus on preventative maintenance and energy management is expected.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in maintenance/engineering with 2 years supervisory experience.
• Excellent customer service and computer skills.
• Ability to mentor and train a team.
• Extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, appliances, water heaters, chillers/boilers, HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Daily supervision of Maintenance staff including delegation of work orders and time management.
• Inspection and oversight of existing and completed work orders.
• HVAC, Boiler, plumbing, electrical, appliance and all other service requests.
• Mentoring and training new and existing staff members.
• Interviewing and selection of new maintenance team members.
• Provide monthly energy management recommendations for the building.
• Identify capital improvements and obtain estimates/bids.
• Assist in budget preparation for maintenance expenses.
