Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title).
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, involving at least two of building, electrical, or mechanical trades.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Electrical repairs: Replace lighting components, switches, outlets, and repair door hardware
• Mechanical support: Check heat pump systems, clean condensate lines, and assist with major replacements
• Plumbing tasks: Open drains, repair faucets, and help replace water lines, toilets, and urinals
• Grounds maintenance: Cut grass, manage weeds, and perform seasonal snow removal at assigned sites
• Woodworking projects: Build, finish, and repair shelves, frames, counter tops, and other structures
• Equipment care: Inspect, clean, and maintain tools, machinery, and grounds keeping equipment

This role supports the Facilities Maintenance Manager by performing skilled and semi-skilled tasks across buildings, grounds, machinery, and equipment. It involves work both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in challenging weather. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:

• Electrical Repairs:Replace lighting components, switches, outlets, and repair door hardware

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Temporary, Full-time employment, 40-hour work week
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Note: This position is designated Essential, required to work during emergencies and office closings.
• Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
